After 35 years working with back pain sufferers we know what is needed.
The BackInAction tm mattress embodies all our expertise and it's helped thousands of (former) back pain sufferers.
Latest News: Now with replaceable core to save money and the environment in years to come
Not just because of the quality of support, but because it's SO important for back pain sufferers (and actually everyone else too) to be able to vary positions throughout the night. Changing position helps to reduce inflammation, decrease joint stiffness and alleviate night-time aches.
The Backinaction Mattress is made of carefully selected layered foam that allows pressure relief, support AND easy movement.
We haven't worried whether the mattress feels good when you prod it in the showroom. (Most mattresses are made to feel good at first prod... It's an industry trick, so that people will stop and try them). We've made sure it supports you while you are relaxed and asleep, not just in the first few minutes, but all night long.
If you are local, come and try it in one of our 4 stores.
Outlast® technology was originally developed for NASA to protect astronauts from temperature fluctuations in space. Outlast® technology utilizes phase change materials (PCM) that absorb, store and release heat for optimal thermal comfort. Outlast® technology is comparable to ice in a drink; as it changes from solid to liquid, it absorbs heat and cools the drink, keeping that drink at the desired temperature for a longer period of time. Outlast® phase change materials work in the same way. The PCMs have the capacity to absorb, store and release excess heat. This gives any product containing Outlast® technology the ability to continually regulate skin's microclimate. As the skin gets hot, the heat is absorbed, and as it cools, that heat is released. Outlast® technology is not wicking technology, which manages moisture by reacting to your sweat and pulling it away from the skin. Outlast® technology will proactively manage heat while controlling the production of moisture before it begins. That's the Outlast® difference. The benefits of Outlast® products at a glance:
We promise that our prices are the best you can get, but there may be a way to save even more! There is a little known VAT office concession which allows most Back in Action customers to buy certain products without paying the VAT element. If you (or someone who will be using one of these specific products) are suffering from a chronic/long term condition you should fully explore if this concession applies.
To make it clear: when an item can be purchased at vat zero rating for health reasons, and we offer that option on-line, there will be two pricing options shown and you simply choose the one applicable to your circumstances.
To make sure you don't miss out on this concession here is a brief summary:
To summarise: As a health orientated centre we are in a unique position to help you claim what is rightfully available. If your condition and the product you are buying qualifies then we will not charge VAT. We provide you with a simple form, and if this is correctly filled in we confirm that we will not charge the VAT. You don't need to provide us with any proof, but you may need to do so to the VAT office if they select your sale as a random check. The majority of Back in Action customers find they are eligible for this relief.
Back in Action was started in 1987 by David Newbound, an engineer who suffered a debilitating neck injury & his wife Lindall Pearce, an artist with an eye for design.
David formed the company when he discovered there was an alternative to constant pain, to share information and products to help other people.
Over the last 35 years we have helped thousands of people, we're very proud of what we do & our caring compassionate team.
